Sovereign Tower Yohav Assassination and Enberg
Lethal and diplomatic forks, Victoria trials, now stable after 1.0.10
Yohav (Steam patch notes spell Yorhav) is the Enberg political murder that feeds Victoria’s trial chain and can free Gothild. Patch 1.0.10 (20 August 2026) resolves the assassination bugs that persisted through 1.0.9 — Victoria no longer ambushes herself, and Yorhav dies correctly during his sequence. The route is now stable for first playthroughs.
Wild Wits left assassination-related bugs unfixed in Patch 1.0.9 (13 August 2026) and asked for more test time. Curve Games launched the full game on 6 August 2026. With 1.0.10 closing those threads, you can run this route without backup save paranoia — though keeping one slot for Cycle 45 endings remains good practice.
Heavy spoilers for the City of Enberg. Read Get Victoria and Get Gothild before you decide whether Victoria is a recruit, a suspect, or both.
What the flags are doing
Community quest dumps describe several Enberg cards that can set a yohav_dead (spelling varies) style flag and later open Victoria’s four trials:
| Card flavour | Type | Community checks | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Assassinate Yohav | Assassination, unethical | Low STR / WIT / LCK bands (example: STR 1, WIT 4, LCK 1) | Compromising notes; death flag |
| Assassinate all of Enberg | Assassination, crowd | Higher WIT / LCK example bands | Gold spike; still sets death flag |
| Simulate Yohav’s death | Diplomacy | High WIT / LCK (example: 8 / 8) | Same flag without a clean corpse |
Numbers are community snapshots, not developer spreadsheets. Overshoot with meals (+0.5), traits, and forge gear (Quest Scoring, Cooking). Patch 1.0.8 softened weak-stat penalties; 1.0.10 resolved the assassination stability issues.
Recommended order
- Update to 1.0.10 so Victoria self-ambush and Yorhav assassination both work correctly.
- Keep one manual save before the first Enberg assassination audience as good practice (not required for bug workarounds anymore).
- Decide the political prize: Victoria as closer, Gothild as bodyguard, or a rewind plan for both chairs.
- If you want a non-lethal flag, prep a Diplomacy party for Simulate Death (Wit/Luck, not Kind-hearted assassins).
- If you want the corpse and notes, send Assassination-tagged knights (Killer, Deadly Weapon) and keep Kind-hearted Angelica off the card.
- After the flag, welcome Victoria, invite her, and clear every trial — 1.0.9 restored response mapping, 1.0.10 fixed the self-ambush trigger (Get Victoria).
- High-Wits Suspect Interrogations that implicate Victoria still free Gothild on the investigation path (Get Gothild).
What 1.0.10 changed
1.0.10 (20 August 2026) resolved both Act 3 story blockers:
- Victoria no longer ambushes herself — the self-referential trigger is blocked.
- Yorhav’s assassination sequence now fires correctly.
This means the Yohav and Enberg route is stable. You no longer need to keep backup saves specifically for Yorhav workarounds. General best practice (spare slot before major story forks) still applies.
Turn omni-fast forward off for trial dialogue. The 1.0.9 default keeps it on and is how people accidentally skip restored mapping (Controls).
Seat and style collisions
Act 3’s ten chairs still cannot hold every late name. Victoria’s stat monster and Gothild’s Bodyguard compete with Edith, Ari, Epicrate, and your Act 2 leftovers (Act 3, Recruit Knights). Investigation that paints Victoria as murderer can delay her trial hire. Leave two chairs or rewind once you understand the fork.
Assassination is Unethical. Faction optics with People and Nobles can sour the same week you need Peace or Surrender endings (Factions, Endings Guide). Simulate Death is the diplomatic mask if you still want the flag without a massacre headline.
Common failures
- Not updating to 1.0.10 before running Enberg.
- Fast-forwarding trials without checking restored mapping.
- No spare save when running multiple late-game forks simultaneously.
- Sending Angelica on Assassinate Yohav because she is “your best knight.”
- Expecting Gothild and Victoria without two empty seats.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is Yohav the same as Yorhav?
Yes in practice. Steam's 1.0.9 notes say Yorhav; quest dumps say Yohav. Same Enberg assassination thread.
Can I fake Yohav's death?
Community lists a Diplomacy card, Simulate Yohav's death, with high Wit and Luck. It can still set the death flag without a corpse.
Does this lock Victoria?
Investigation can implicate her and free Gothild. Invitation plus completed trials still recruits her if you leave a chair — [Get Victoria](/guides/get-victoria/).
Is this route safe to play now?
Yes. Patch 1.0.10 (20 August 2026) resolved both Victoria self-ambush and Yorhav assassination bugs. Update your client and play without workarounds.
