Sovereign Tower Annexes and Crafting System
Expand the tower through the Lady — forge, alchemy, stables, and more
Annexes are Sovereign Tower’s tower-expansion layer — new rooms materialized by the Lady of the Tower when you earn her trust, recruit the right servants during audiences, and invest resources wisely. Wild Wits ties annexes to both comedy and min-maxing: you flirt with a stone statue who builds a blacksmith forge, then craft weapons that turn a borderline Round Table assignment into a safe success.
Annexes never auto-win quests. They produce items, stat boosts, and court positions that raise your effective knight power. Treat them as infrastructure between story beats in Demo Walkthrough and Act 1 branches.
Lady of the Tower
The Lady is a sentient statue — protector, romance option, and construction gatekeeper. Speaking with her during tower exploration opens annex dialogue trees. Curve Games’ official preview footage (embedded above) highlights her role: get in her good books and she materializes new palace areas with game-changing abilities.
Relationship building is gradual. Rush romance if you enjoy the writing, but do not neglect functional unlocks — forge and alchemy matter more than flavor rooms when Groveshire ritual quests arrive.
How annexes unlock
Typical demo flow:
- Audience event recruits a servant (blacksmith, witch, stable hand, etc.).
- Lady conversation offers to raise the corresponding annex.
- Resource spend — often Treasury plus time — completes construction.
- Production menus open on future exploration phases.
Missing a servant recruit may require Time Rewind to earlier audiences. Cross-reference Recruit Knights when hire events overlap knight recruitment.
Major annex types
Blacksmith forge
The forge is usually the first production annex players want — Carina or equivalent blacksmith servants arrive through audience recruitment, then the Lady raises the wing. Craft weapons and armor that boost Strength or Agility checks and repair armor damage after Critical Failures on martial quests — see Quest Outcomes.
Forge timing matters for Gavault martial weeks and Beast Hunt kill paths. Prioritize one weapon tier that covers your weakest combat knight before duplicating stat niches. Outputs catalog on Items pages when documented.
Witch tower (alchemy)
The witch tower — alchemy lab — brews potions enhancing Magic, Wit, or temporary Luck-style margins. Mystic-heavy quests, magical traces on beast hunts, and crypt-adjacent story beats favor alchemy — see Rufus recruitment on the Beast Hunt walkthrough.
Witch NPCs often carry dramatic personality in previews; mechanically they are vendors producing consumables before hard Round Table nights. Pair alchemy with Intendancy investigations so you know which knight needs Magic margin most.
Stables
Stables support horse tags on quest cards — critical for Goose Quest stage two when Arlin mentions horses. Stables also feed mount flavor in previews and may gate courier speed on regional cards from the Kingdom Map.
Unlock stables before accepting goose stage-two deadlines if you already committed to the Bathhouse crisis chain. Horse-tagged sends fail embarrassingly without annex support even when knight stats look green.
Training ground
The training ground improves knight skills over multiple days rather than single consumables. Slower payoff but strong for long demo grinds before August 6, 2026 launch — especially when a knight sits one stat point shy of reliable yellow-tier assignments.
Training locks knights similarly to outbound quests; do not start a three-day Wit course the same week rebellion or beast hunt deadlines stack. Schedule training during faction-stable breather days from Factions Guide.
Intendancy (Lady Alwena)
The Intendancy wing houses Lady Alwena — not always labeled an “annex” in UI copy, but functionally an unlocked tower space tied to annex progression. She investigates one knight per day, revealing attributes, preferences, or secrets that change Round Table guesswork into informed sends.
Intendancy pairs with:
- Knight Quest Matcher — apply revealed stats before risky cards.
- Intendant Guide — daily investigation habits and UI flow.
- Knight Loyalty — secrets sometimes expose mood or romance flags.
Skip Alwena during Act 1 climax weeks and you assign blind — the Intendancy is the highest-ROI exploration click for optimizers who already unlocked forge or alchemy.
Crafting loop
- Gather inputs from quest rewards, Treasury purchases, or faction favors.
- Visit forge or alchemy during exploration — between audience and Round Table.
- Equip or consume outputs before assigning knights.
- Resolve quests with higher effective stats; failures waste crafted goods anyway.
Crafting is day-consuming — do not spend every exploration block in the forge if audiences created urgent diplomacy cards. Priority beats hoarding.
Annexes vs factions
Annex choices indirectly move factions:
- Merchants profit when forge gear secures caravan quests.
- Mystics prefer alchemy aligned with ritual outcomes.
- Treasury suffers if you overbuild before income quests return coin.
Track combined effects with the Faction Balance Tracker and read Faction Guide for rivalries.
Knights and annex staff
Some annex NPCs become flirt targets in marketing copy — blacksmith divas, dramatic witches — but mechanically they are vendors. Knights remain the Round Table executors; annexes support them. Review Knights Hub for who benefits most from Strength weapons (Goberto, Gwendan) versus Magic potions (Ursula).
Secret quest item hooks
Annexes supply contextual items for optional content:
- Cheese associations for Goberto and goose clue paths.
- Horses from stables for goose stage two.
- Weapons for Silgur’s lethal beast hunt.
Walkthroughs spell exact sends — annexes reduce stat anxiety behind those sends.
Expansion and court positions
Official store copy notes annexes “allow for more positions to open amongst your court” — expect additional servant or knight slots in the full game. Demo coverage focuses on forge, alchemy, stables, training, and Intendancy; launch may add rooms referenced in trailers (dragon knight defenses, deeper romance wings).
Optimization tips
- Unlock one production annex before perfecting both — pick forge or alchemy based on roster weakness from Knight Stats.
- Investigate unknown knights before main Act 1 peaks.
- Craft consumables the morning before known hard cards, not weeks early.
- Pair annex plans with Kingdom Map region timing — caravan weeks need forge gear first.
- Rewind servant misses sooner rather than after ten failed quests.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Which annex should I unlock first in the demo?
Forge if your roster lacks Strength for Gavault or hunts; witch tower if Magic and Wit quests fail often. Stables before [Goose Quest](/walkthrough/goose-quest/) stage two. Check [Knight Stats](/knights/stats/) first.
Do I need annexes for secret knights?
Not strictly, but horses, cheese, and weapons make [Goose Quest](/walkthrough/goose-quest/) and [Beast Hunt](/walkthrough/beast-hunt/) routes safer.
Can I romance the Lady and still min-max?
Yes — relationship dialogue runs parallel to construction unlocks. Functional annex choices matter more than skipping romance cutscenes.
Where are crafted items listed?
See the [Items Hub](/items/) for gear and potion pages as the wiki documents demo outputs.
Does the Lady unlock every annex at once?
No — rooms gate on recruits, relationship progress, and resources across multiple days. Plan ahead during [Act 0](/walkthrough/act-0/).
